POTSDAM – Kristy Hayes has opened Taglio Salon, a new hair salon at 2 Elm St., Suite 2.
The Class of 2000 Potsdam High School graduate had been in Boston for eight years as a stylist at Vidal Sassoone and as salon manager and trainer at Aveda Salon. Some of her more notable clients included Katie Couric, Uncle Kracker, and Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas. She was most recently a stylist with the Body Shop Fitness & Salon in Potsdam.
She is working with Brianna Jones of Winthrop.
The salon is carrying the Aveda line of all-natural products.
They are doing hair styling, waxing, and Aveda “rituals” such as hand massages.
The salon’s hours are Tuesday through Thursday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments are recommended. They can be arranged by calling 274-9888. Walk-ins will be accommodated depending on availability.
The web site can be found at www.tagliony.com.
Taglio will host an open house 4 to 7 p.m. March 10.
