POTSDAM - Oddballs' Emporium will be opening at 17 Maple St., on Wednesday Dec. 14 at noon.
The shop sells antique and vintage items ranging from furniture to toys and clothing, as well as natural SunFeather Soaps, local art, hand made necessities, "upcycled"/recycled/repurposed items, trinkets, oddities, and all manner of other interesting things.
Upcycling is the process of converting waste materials or "useless" products into new materials or products of better quality or a higher environmental value.
Proprietor Derrick Towne says that the goal is to provide useful high quality products at a reasonable cost, while helping people to reduce the impact of manufacturing new items. Consignment services will be offered in the near future.
Hours are noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday and by appointment.
Oddballs' is located in the first floor of the sandstone building on Fall Island, next to Evans and White Ace Hardware.
