MASSENA -- A new store has opened in the St. Lawrence Centre.

Just Bee Cuz Gifts opened March 6 and is selling a variety of candy and gift items.

Owner Julie Talbot said their shelves include retro candies, snack foods, gourmet treats, Gund stuffed animals, different gifts like wine glasses, picture frames, cups, religious items, coffee and gluten-free goods from 3 Bears Gluten-Free Bakery in Potsdam.

Some may remember the store from when they operated from 2005 to 2009 on Maple Street in Massena, Talbot said.

She said they decided to open the store to offer another shopping option in the area.

“The economy needs it, there aren’t  a lot of stores. I knew with the products we had we have a lot to offer to the community,” she said.

She said she enjoys hearing customers talk about seeing the items years ago that she now has in stock.

“When people step in the store, it’s a satisfying experience hearing them reminisce on their past memories,” Talbot said.

The store is in the St. Lawrence Centre, adjacent to Bon Ton.

Their hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
