HOGANSBURG – The Mohawk Bingo Palace, which opened its doors over 25 years ago, has moved to the newly expanded Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort.

The transition of the bingo hall to the casino has been an aspiration of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe for many years. Both entities are under the umbrella of the tribe.

The $75 million expansion includes several areas of growth for the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe.

With the completion of the hotel and spa and addition of the Mohawk Bingo Palace, the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort will feature over 130,000 square feet of space with over 2,000 slots and video machines, a large selection of table games which includes a High Limit Salon and Live Poker Room, a 540-seat Bingo Parlor, the Cascades Lounge with live entertainment, and four restaurants which include the Native Harvest Buffet and the award-winning Maple Room Steak House.

Mohawk Bingo Palace Manager Brenda Johnston said that “the staffs of the casino have been great and very welcoming to us. I expect our guests will really like the transition.”

“This property will be an all inclusive resort with the addition of the Mohawk Bingo Palace,” said General Manager Patrick Bassney. The development includes a 150 suite-room hotel, Sweet Tea Spa, and convention and meeting space.
