CANTON -- New rules for minimum wage and overtime are likely to impact many businesses in St. Lawrence County. On Wednesday, June 1, the St. Lawrence County Chamber monthly webinar series will look to help address some questions and concerns.
Jean Rowe, human resources manager for the United Helpers Organization, which employs over 1,000 individuals throughout St. Lawrence County, will present on updates to the minimum wage and Department of Labor overtime payment rules, as well as other human resources hot topics.
Rowe has been with United Helpers, in various roles, for over 15 years. Her expertise is in employment law and benefits administration. She is also the board president for the St. Lawrence County Health Initiative and the District Director for the NY State Society of Human Resources (SHRM) and the Legislative Chair for the St. Lawrence Valley SHRM Chapter.
