NORWOOD – J.C. Merriman, Inc. is constructing a new 11,000 square foot building to store lumber and other building materials.
Owner Charlie Merriman said it is being built to replace a slightly smaller storage building put up in 1969 at the 90 S. Main St. address.
Merriman said the old building needed replacing.
“It was just time. The foundation was deteriorating. It needed to be upgraded,” Merriman said.
Heritage Homes is doing the construction.
Merriman said he hopes it will be ready in the second week of July.
