MASSENA -- Hamilton's Automotive Service Center is closing.
The auto garage was at the corner of state Route 37 and East Orvis Street, near the Alcoa bridge.
Owner Kevin Hamilton in a Facebook post said the building was sold "from under us."
He staffed the garage, which mainly performed auto repairs, along with his son Cory and daughter Danielle.
"Today is a very heartbreaking day for me and my son. I've had to shut and lock the door to Hamilton's Automotive Service Center ... permanently. Our building was sold from under us that we faithfully paid and kept up for the past 8 years. It saddens me cause of the loyal and faithful friends and customers we have grown to know and like. It feels like someone took a knife and cut my heart out," Hamilton wrote. "Again I thank everyone more than you can imagine. I'm just loss for words as I type. God bless you all."
