MASSENA -- The Village Board of Trustees on Tuesday plans to discuss demolishing a building that has been deemed a public safety hazard, and a section of the village code governing taxicabs and vehicles for hire.
The meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. in the Town Hall’s second floor boardroom.
The draft agenda says they will award a bid to demolish the front porch at 104 East Orvis St. It burned in a fire several years ago and has since been determined to be a safety hazard. The village at their December meeting said they are suing the owner in court to nullify an alleged fraudulent sale. More information is in an earlier story here.
Also, the agenda says the board will discuss "general code of Village of Massena chapter 270 (Taxicabs and Vehicles for Hire)." The draft document gives no other details.
