MASSENA -- The Town Council okayed a motion on Wednesday night authorizing software to be installed enabling the tax collector to accept payments via credit and debit cards.
The taxpayer will have to pay a 3 ½ percent fee, plus 50 cents to make an electronic card payment.
The service may branch out to other town services, such as dog licensing.
