MASSENA -- Massena Memorial Hospital recently received two telehealth units through their affiliation with the North Country Initiative.
Telehealth allows a patient to attend a doctor’s appointment via a program similar to Skype.
MMH Director of Public Relations and Planning Tina Corcoran said employees will be trained in using the units this month and they will be used later in the summer.
The North Country Initiative includes MMH, Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Samaritan Medical Center, River Hospital, Carthage Area Hospital and Clifton-Find Hospital.
