MASSENA -- The Massena Memorial Hospital Board of Managers will hire Cejka Executive Search to find a new CEO, Sue Bellor of the board's executive search committee said.
Representatives of the St. Louis, Mo.-based firm will be in Massena at the end of the month to meet with stakeholder groups. They include the hospital and town boards, as well as various department heads and now-CEO Charles Fahd.
The board was divided over whether they should meet the firm representatives separately or in groups. It led to a heated debate between board members Sue Bellor and Paul Morrow before all agreed some would go as a group and the rest will fly solo.
Fahd has been with MMH since 1997. His contract expires in December and he has decided to retire when it runs out.
