MASSENA -- The Greater Massena Chamber of Commerce 2012 Massena Holiday Ornament is now available for purchase at the chamber office.
This year’s ornament was chosen to honor the former Adath Israel Synagogue. In July of this year, the congregation donated their building to the Massena Chamber.
The synagogue building dates back to 1844, when it was built as the Emmanuel Congregational Church of Christ. The Adath Israel Congregation purchased the building in 1920 from the Emmanuel Congregation after they moved to a new church.
This year’s ornament can be purchased for $8 and is available at the chamber office, 16 Church St., Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The ornaments are also available at Phil & Jackies, located at 69 Main St.
A few ornaments from previous years are still in stock and are also available for purchase at the chamber office.
