MASSENA -- The Massena Chamber of Commerce recognized nearly a dozen people and organizations for community service and longevity in business at their Thursday night annual dinner.

Volunteer of the Year went to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Alyson Evans Jorgensen and Owen Jorgensen, Jacob Jepsen and Daniel Wing accepted the award.

The Gert Jurkovich Commitment to the Community Award went to Miriam Catapano. Mark Bogdan presented the award.

The Business Leadership Award went to Dan Pease of the Pease and Gustafson law firm. Bill Orlando presented the award.

Business Longevity awards went to: Sullivan’s Office Supply, accepted by Tom Sullivan; Fay Motors, accepted by Anthony Viskovich and Gill Viskovich; Daily Courier-Observer, accepted by Ryne Martin; WMSA 1340, accepted by Sandy Cook; and Chase the Lights productions received a community support award.
