MASSENA -- On Thursday May 10, the Massena Country Club will be the scene of the year’s first Massena Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event.
Enbridge St. Lawrence Gas has joined forces with the chamber to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
“We are pleased to team up with the Chamber in planning for this important event,” said Enbridge St. Lawrence Gas President Richard Campbell. “By working with the chamber and making use of their network and expertise, we are easily able to reach the audience of business and community leaders that we wish to have join us for our anniversary celebration.”
Enbridge St. Lawrence Gas (“St. Lawrence Gas”) was incorporated in 1957 and served its first natural gas customer in 1962. St. Lawrence Gas main office is in Massena, with a facility in Ogdensburg. St. Lawrence Gas is a regulated public utility selling and transporting natural gas to its customers in northern New York State. With assets of more than $40 million, the company provides natural gas to approximately 14,000 residential customers, 1,700 commercial customers and 24 industrial customers.
The Business after Hours event will showcase St. Lawrence Gas and will feature regional company officials from Toronto and Ottawa. “St. Lawrence Gas is an important part of the Massena community and our local economy,” remarked Eric Gustafson, President of the Chamber Board of Directors. “We are proud to partner with St. Lawrence Gas for this upcoming event. This also shows how the Greater Massena Chamber of Commerce plays a vital role in the community by promoting businesses, growth and by providing meaningful events for chamber members.”
The May 10th Business after Hours will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. and will feature hors d’oeuvres, live music and a cash bar. The event is open to the public.
Interested individuals must RSVP in order to attend. They can call the Massena Chamber of Commerce at 518-769-3525 for more information or to register to attend.
