MASSENA -- The Massena Chamber of Commerce is taking nominations for their 2015 Christmas light contest.

It is free and open to anyone in the 13662 zip code.

Residential entries will get cash prizes. Business entries will win a free 2016 chamber membership.

The contest is for exterior decorations visible from the street, including decorated windows visible from outside.

Judging will not include backyards.

Participants will have to agree to have one or more photos of their decorated residence or business exterior posted on the chamber's website or social media and published in the local press.

Judging will be based on popular vote with voting on social media, email or telephone calls to the chamber.

People are allowed one vote per category.

Winners will be announced via the local press and the Chamber's social media outlets.

Residential categories include elegant, best use of lights and director's choice.

Businesses will be community choice.

To enter, email nominations to info@massenachamber.org by 4 p.m. Dec. 13. Nods should include the nominee’s name, address and phone number and indication if it’s a business or residence. If residential, name the category. All entries must have a digital photo attached.

Voting starts at 4 p.m. Dec. 15. Entries will be posted on a photo album on the chamber’s Facebook page. People can “like” their choice through midnight Dec. 20.
