MASSENA -- Massena International Airport is getting $324,000 for expansion and resurfacing of the terminal parking lot, according to a press release from Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office.
This allocation is part of $9 million in Aviation Capital Grants Program awards doled out by the state.
“By investing in our transportation infrastructure, we are making long term improvements to our rail and aviation systems in order to better serve the people who use them, while also expanding economic opportunities throughout New York,” Cuomo said in the release.
The funding being allocated today was included in the state’s 2014-15 budget. The projects that received the funding were selected through a competitive process and rated on established criteria, including project eligibility, consistency with state rail and aviation plans, regional economic benefits, and the ability to leverage additional investments.
