Kathy Hochul, Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s lieutenant governor will visit St. Lawrence County today, May 15, meeting with SUNY Potsdam President Kristen Esterberg and touring Curran Renewable Energy in Massena.
Hochul is a former Buffalo-area member of Congress who was chosen in a special election in 2011 to replace a Republican who resigned the seat. She was defeated by another Republican in 2011. From 2007 to 2011, she was Erie County Clerk.
She is scheduled to meet with Esterberg and university officials at 10:45 a.m. From there Hochul will attend the North Country Regional Economic Development Council meeting at 1 p.m. at Clarkson in the Student Center.
The lieutenant governor will meet with local officials and business leaders in Massena at 2:45 p.m. at 60 Main St. The tour of Curran Renewable Energy is slated for 3:40 p.m.
