CANTON -- Village police on Friday charged a Lisbon man with arson for allegedly starting a fire in the men's room at the Canton Burger King.
Timothy S. Middlemiss, 27, of 143 Fulton Rd. is facing one count each of felony second-degree arson and misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Police said Middlemiss on July 25 set fire to a toilet paper dispenser, which was valued at $150.
Alcohol and drugs were not a factor, police said.
There are no further charges or arrests pending, officers said.
Middlemiss was arraigned in Norfolk Town Court by Justice George Grubee and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 bail or $100,000 bond.
