MASSENA - Kaneb Orchards hard cider has recently received special awards and recognition for three of their locally produced hard ciders.
The 2015 Grand Harvest Awards were recently announced in Sonoma, Calif.
The St. Lawrence Cider won gold, Raquette River Cider won silver and the Cranberry Crisp Cider won bronze. The contest is held every year. This year was the event's 25th anniversary..
Kaneb Orchards now has four ciders that are produced from the variety of apples grown near its Massena cidery.
The award-winning hard cider can be purchased at many local wine and liquor stores in St Lawrence, Lewis and Jefferson counties. It is also available in Albany and the Finger Lakes regions.
