LISBON -- The “ice cream man” handed out 100 “bomb pops” today, according to Theresa Carroll, who thinks he deserves some credit for his generosity.
She said Jeff Stevens, who does business as “Mr. Dingaling,” handed out more than 100 ice-cream “bomb pops” for free to people at the Lisbon Town Beach Thursday.
“He just decided today was the day – not too hot and no too cold – to do something nice,” Carroll said.
She said she’d heard this is not the first time he’s done something like this.
“He usually does a different route every day,” she said.
“He said he just wanted to give back to the community, to do something nice.”
Carroll said he frequently caters to things like picnics and birthday and graduation parties, and that people could reach him at 714-9112.
