POTSDAM – Harris Medical Supplies and Equipment has moved up the block from 71 Market St. to 63 Market St., the Aubuchon Mall.
With the move, Harris owner Mary Sue Harris Foster says she in doubling the space she has, from about 3,200 square feet to almost 7,000 square feet.
“We have more visibility with bigger window displays, there is be more customer parking, and we have two entrances, including one off the parking lot in the rear,” Foster said.
She said there is more variety to equipment and supplies she can offer, such as in durable medical equipment such as wheelchairs, lift chairs, “rollator” rolling walkers, and back safety items – “We’ve really increased those items due to demand,” Foster said.
There is also a larger variety of nurses’ scrubs and nursing accessories, and the renovations to the space include two fitting rooms.
The post-mastectomy boutique, All About Me at Harris Medical, has also moved, “and is almost twice the size, with a fireplace. It’s designed for comfort.”
Foster said she is stocking a larger number of “pink ribbon” items, “and a lot more comfort items for all cancer patients, such as designer turbans.”
Foster said “The staff is very excited. There’s more room for them, too.”
An open house at the new quarters will be announced soon.
