POTSDAM -- Clarkson University will host a Green Construction Expo on Wednesday, Aug. 31, from noon to 7 p.m. at Cheel Arena. The event is free and open to the public.
Vendors from across the North Country and elsewhere will display green building and landscaping products and services. Some will offer DIY demonstrations.
The day will end with a keynote address (speaker yet-to-be announced) at 6 p.m. and breakout sessions led by industry leaders from 7 to 8 p.m.
Business or organization who want to host a booth or buy a sponsorship can contact Theresa Ferero from Clarkson’s Institute for a Sustainable Environment at 268-3856 or at tferero@clarkson.edu.
“We are excited to be offering this opportunity to the general public to learn more about making their homes and gardens more eco-friendly, as well as to learn more about what construction firms across the North Country are doing to be more sustainable,” says Erik Backus, director of Clarkson’s Construction Engineering Management program. “This new event will bring together vendors from every aspect of the green building and landscaping world, from companies supplying specialty concrete for commercial construction, to businesses providing recycled wood pellets for green home heating.”
