CANTON -- St. Lawrence County businesspeople can talk with an expert about contracting with government agencies Wednesday, Dec. 3.
The SUNY Canton Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is partnering with the St. Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce to host sessions with Nick Burkhard, a representative of the North Country Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the St. Lawrence County Chamber office, 101 Main St.
Federal and state agencies spend billions of dollars every year on all types of goods and services. Even if you’re not sure there is an opportunity for your business, you can explore the possibilities with Burkhard free of charge by scheduling an appointment with the PTAC counselor, with the SUNY Canton SBDC at 386-7312 or sbdc@canton.edu.
In a session, a businessperson can get guidance on researching and bidding on contracts, women- and minority-owned certifications, bid-matching services and pre- and post-contracting issues; assistance in marketing products and services to the government; and help with determining your readiness to sell to the government, assistance with the registration process, and help in identifying potential bid opportunities.
For more information on PTAC’s services call 788-4400 or email ptac@northcountryptac.com.
