GOUVERNEUR -- The telephone systems at the Gouverneur Hospital’s Antwerp and DeKalb Health Centers have been upgraded.
The Edwards Health Center upgrade will take place within the next few weeks.
The change will provide the health center’s callers with a recording stating the health center, provider name, and office hours followed by a series of prompts.
The caller will have a choice to speak to the patient representative by pressing 0, to schedule an appointment with 1 or to leave a message with the nurse at 2. Those who wish to leave a message pertaining to a prescription request, will press 3. Prescription renewals will be filled within 72 hours. The pharmacy will call when the prescription is ready.
The Edwards Health Center’s new hours are Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Patients’ appointments are scheduled beginning 8 a.m. From 7 to 8 a.m. lab draw scheduled appointments or walk-ins are available. To schedule an appointment with Laurie Brown, Andy LaFrance, or lab draw call 562-1055.
The Antwerp Health Center new hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
