POTSDAM -- A GoFundMe account has been launched by the Potsdam Chamber of Commerce to raise money for a fireworks show to celebrate the 50th Potsdam Summer Festival.
The festival will be held July 13-15 in downtown Potsdam and features vendors, live music, sidewalk sales, car shows, crafts, food, a parade and other activities and entertainment.
The chamber, which organizes the summer festival, says they hope community members, businesses, local organizations and SUNY Potsdam and Clarkson University alumni will support the effort.
“The more we raise the bigger and better the show,” the chamber said its GoFundMe page.
Fundraises have been held and more will be held in the coming months to help contribute to the fireworks fund.
So far $264 has been raised toward the $3,000 goal.
