CANTON – Carmen Gendebien and her husband Blake Gendebien, owners of Glow Skincare and Spa, will be honored at the Canton Chamber of Commerce’s annual dinner when their business receives the 2017 Member of the Year award.

The dinner will be held Thursday, Feb. 8, at Eben Holden on the St. Lawrence University Campus, starting with a social hour at 6 p.m. A buffet follows at 7 and the program begins at 7:30 p.m.

The event kicks off the annual Canton Winterfest.

Glow was cited for its hurricane relief effort for the city of Houston, Texas, after Hurricane Harvey hit the gulf coast earlier this year, said Chamber Director Allison Bauer.

Glow Skincare is a high-end day spa featuring skin care, spray tanning, teeth whitening and Botox treatments.

The business was also cited for being a recipient of the NY Small Business Development Center Award in May 2017 and involvement in Women’s Business Bootcamp at SUNY Canton.

The Gendebiens are credited for co-founding the Jules of Life Foundation, a local charity that supports families with children diagnosed with pediatric cancer.

The couple owns and operates Twin Mills Farms in Ogdensburg, a Cabot Creamery farm.
