OGDENSBURG -- An Ogdensburg-based online “gift can” store which went bricks-and-mortar last November in the Ogdensburg Mall on Ford Street is moving and expanding.

Create A Can has been a family owned business since its creation over 10 years ago. It has grown to become a partnership between mother Donna J. Royce and daughter Megan D. Royce.

As the gift business continues to grow and diversify, Donna Royce said, the former Stewart’s convenience store location at 637 State St. will make for higher visibility and more traffic.

Create A Can has been selling and shipping a wide variety of specialty items for years, and continues to diversify.

Their paint can gift basket line is created with brand new, factory made paint cans ranging in size from pint to gallon. With an array of graphics, they make gift containers filled with several kinds of goodies, or empty, so people can fill with items they already have in mind for the gift.

They have added Diaper Cakes, a collection of gifts for infants and their parents, gift baskets for all occasions, Bottle Cap Necklaces, larger candy creations, gifts for the home, and more. They are now planning parties,

And they now have products from local producers, including St. Lawrence Chocolates in Potsdam, Lisbon-based coffee purveyor St. Lawrence Valley Roasters, maple syrup, and more.

Create A Can offers a free delivery service to Claxton Hepburn Medical Center, United Helper’s Nursing home, and St. Joseph’s Nursing home.

Now orders can be made online and picked up in the store, or they can be shipped wherever the customer wants.

They are open from 10 .m. to 8 p.m. every day.
