POTSDAM -- Jason Ryan Dorsey, the "Gen Y Guy," will speak at Clarkson University at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26 in the Cheel Campus Center Barben Rooms. The event is free and open to the public.
Dorsey is a speaker, bestselling author, corporate consultant, promoter and entrepreneur. He is considered to be one of several “thought leaders” on Generation Y and on bridging the generations.
Dorsey has been featured as a generational expert on 60 Minutes, 20/20, The Today Show, The View, and in Fortune Magazine.
Dorsey's newest book is “Y-Size Your Business: How Gen Y Employees Can Grow Your Business and Save You Money.”
Dorsey attended Clarkson University's Clarkson School for year, and college programs in Florida and Israel on his way to becoming a junior at the University of Texas at Austin Business Honors Program at age 18.
While at UT, Dorsey networked, attracted mentors through cold calling, and positioned himself for jobs. He also saw that many people his age were struggling to make the same transition from education to career.
Dorsey realized he could help them by sharing what he had learned firsthand, so at age 18 he wrote and self-published “Graduate to Your Perfect Job.”
