MASSENA -- A former Lincoln Mercury dealership will soon house new businesses.
On Wednesday, the St. Lawrence County Industrial Development Agency approved a $30,000 loan to Swift Labs LLC to turn the 351 East Orvis St. property into the Clarkson University Hot Spot Incubator, a small-scale eyeglass lens manufacturing lab and apartment rental space.
The IDA says it will create 2.5 full-time job equivalents over the next three years.
In addition to the loan, the businesses are being financed through $220,000 from the Development Authority of the North Country and a $116,000 investment from the owner.
The entire building and apartment facade will be improved, IDA said.
