CANTON -- Community Bank branches in Canton, Gouverneur and Ogdensburg will join others across New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont and Massachusetts to host a canned food drive throughout February.
The more than 100 participating branches aim to collect 2,018 items of food for local food pantries and food banks.
“The North Country Community Bank N.A. branches are proud to take part in this monthlong canned food drive to help our neighbors in need,” bank regional manager Rita Walldroff said in a news release. “I encourage everyone to scan their cupboards and stop by the local market to gather nonperishable food items to donate. Every little bit counts as we work to reach our goal.”
People who want to participate in the food drive can bring non-perishable canned food items to a local Community Bank by Feb. 28.
