Potsdam Chamber cancels fall cleanup day due to predictions of rain

POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce has cancelled its fall cleanup day scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3 because weather forecasts are calling for rain all day.
Many students attending Clarkson University and SUNY Potsdam were to have participated by cleaning up litter and debris in numerous locations in and near the downtown area.
“We appreciate the volunteers who have indicated that they would assist in the fall cleanup efforts and will work toward making the spring cleanup bigger and better,” said Executive Director Brenda Thornton in announcing the cancellation.
