CANTON -- North County Savings Bank and Slic Network Solutions are teaming up to donate phone systems to local nonprofit organizations.
When North Country Savings Bank recently upgraded its phone systems to a high-tech "unified communication system," the bank decided to donate the replaced systems to local nonprofit organizations with Slic Network Solutions providing free installation and training. Traditional Arts of Upstate NY (TAUNY) was the first recipient of a system, but more are available.
"We have received a couple of qualified applications, but we want to make sure that we have given all organizations that can display a need the opportunity to submit a request," said NCSB's Assistant Vice President and Marketing Director Steve Thornton.
Those interested in applying for a phone system should submit a letter to either sales@slic.com or sthornton@northcountrysavings.com no later than Sept. 15. The letter should include a brief summary of the organization's mission statement, where the system would be installed, how many handsets would be required, and how the organization would benefit from a new phone system. Proof of 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax status is also required.
