Heating costs freeze out ballet school

POTSDAM – The Ballet Academy of Northern New York has closed.
The dance school was the first business to open in the old Masonic Temple at 6 Elm Street after the Masons sold the building. The academy opened in September 2006.
Lisa Billings, who ran the school with her daughter Haley, had said last winter that expenses were high, especially heating the large open areas on the second floor where the school had its classes.
