NORTH LAWRENCE -- The Pit Stop Diner owner says contrary to rumors circulating on social media, the restaurant remains open.
“There is some confusion with the Pit Stop Pub closing. A lot of people have called to ask if it was us who closed, but I am proud to announce that it is not us,” diner owner Dawn Bushey posted to the restaurant’s Facebook page on Tuesday. “We are still open for business and plan to be for many years to come!”
The Pit Stop Pub in Winthrop had its last day in business on Jan. 9, according to posts on the former establishment’s Facebook page.
It is closing to make room for a new Dollar General.
The Pit Stop Diner is at 1982 State Rte. 11C, North Lawrence. Its hours are 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 7 a.m.to 7 p.m. Sunday.
