POTSDAM – The new software AllScripts is in use at Health Services of Northern New York (HSNNY), 56 Market St.
“The new AllScripts system is intended to improve patient care by reducing errors and increasing efficiency,” according to Director of Clinical Services Sheri Chapman.
All of Health Services of Northern New York’s registered nurse case managers and physical therapists have a tablet laptop to assist them in accessing and updating patient records during their home visits. This information is then synchronized to a secure server that hosts all of the patient records.
“This will greatly improve the flow of information and decrease the amount of paperwork in our operation,” Chapman says. It is expected that it will take 90 days to complete implementation.
