GOUVERNEUR -- Practitioners at the new E. J. Noble Hospital Primary Care Center, operated by the Community Health Center of the North Country, began seeing patients today.
The center, located at the recently renovated 77 W. Barney St. facility, was created following the recent announcement that financially struggling E. J. Noble Hospital would dissolve and hospital services will now be provided by the parent corporation of Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Practitioners located at the new center include George M. Dodds, internal (adult) medicine; Andrew LaFrance, family practice; Teresa Lang, family practice; Rachel Raven, family practice; and Donald Schuessler, Jr., pediatrics.
The center offers comprehensive diagnosis and treatment, including preventive medicine and management of chronic diseases, as well as routine care such as health screenings, immunizations, and prescription refills.
Primary care practitioners also offer ongoing management of conditions, referrals to specialists, and follow-up care.
Most insurances, Medicaid, and Family Health Plus are accepted. A sliding fee scale is available for those who qualify.
Established patients received letters about continuing to see their chosen practitioner. New patients are also accepted. For appointments call 287-4440.
