CANTON -- St. Lawrence County saw no change in jobs in July while New York state overall gained positions, according to the state Department of Labor.
There were 36,800 non-farm jobs in July and 36,800 the same month last year, DOL said.
To our east in Franklin County, jobs stayed flat as well 18,800 non-farm jobs last month and 18,800 the same month last year, DOL said.
To our west in Jefferson County, the number went to 44,400 last month from 43,900 the same month last year, a 1.1 percent gain, DOL said.
Meanwhile, New York State overall gained 159,300 jobs, which is a 1.7 percent gain, DOL said.
