Reversing the trend seen in March, there were about 100 more non-farm jobs in April than the same month in 2014 in St. Lawrence County, according to the state Department of Labor.
There were 42,000 non-farm jobs in April 2014 and 42,100 last month, the DOL said. That is a .2 percent increase.
To our east in Franklin County, the number dropped by 1.1 percent from 19,000 non-farm jobs in April 2014 to 18,800 last month, according to the DOL report.
To our west in Jefferson County, the number went up by 1.2 percent. They had 41,100 non-farm jobs in April of last year, compared to 41,600 last month, the DOL said.
