CANTON -- Feed is the greatest single expense on a dairy farm and making relatively simple changes in how feed ingredients are handled, mixed and delivered to the herd can reduce costs and optimize animal health and milk production.
A Northern NY Dairy Institute dairy feeding management course will be offered Cornell Cooperative Extension beginning Oct. 28 at noon at the Cooperative Extension’s Learning Farm, NYS Hwy. 68.
Cost is $75 and registration is required by Oct. 12. for the next course before October 12, 2010.
