POTSDAM – A dairy equipment supply and service company made the move from Gouverneur to Potsdam earlier this year to better serve area farmers.
DeLaval, 6817 State Highway 56, made the move to Potsdam in January of this year.
“We moved to better serve the local dairy industry,” said Ed Graham, branch manager.
The company sells dairy-related chemicals, sanitizers as well as installing, repairing and providing routine service to area farms.
“Business has been great since the move. We are able to provide a quicker response to farmers,” Graham said.
They also offer inspection service contracts for various lengths of time depending on the farmers’ needs, Graham said.
DeLaval handles all aspects of farming including milking, herd management, feeding, milk cooling and storage, cow comfort and more, according to the companies website.
