WATERTOWN -- The New York State Board of Elections will present a Campaign Finance Seminar 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. June 1 at Jefferson Community College’s Jules Center, Room 6-002.
Boards of Elections in St. Lawrence, Jefferson, Lewis, and Oswego counties are encouraging party chairpeople, party and campaign treasurers, and people who might be candidates to take advantage of the information provided and become updated on the ever-changing campaign finance laws in New York.
“The state is getting stricter, and are fining people who violate the rules,” said St. Lawrence County Democratic Elections Commissioner Jennie Bacon.
“This is a good way to learn about filings,” Bacon said.
If you plan to attend, call the Jefferson County Board of Elections at (315) 785-3027.
