CANTON -- North Country Public Radio has received a $6,000 check from the Corning Incorporated Foundation as part of its ongoing support of NCPR's local and national news coverage and its contemporary literature series Readers & Writers on the Air.
Corning Foundation has been a stalwart supporter of NCPR's mission since 1982. Corning Canton Plant Manager Joseph W. Neubert presented Underwriting Director Sandy Demarest with the check recently.
"Corning Incorporated Foundation’s decision to invest in the work of the station over the course of almost three decades makes it possible for NCPR to do work with depth, breadth and impact that would not be feasible without that level of Foundation commitment,” said Station Manager Ellen Rocco.
NCPR serves communities throughout northern New York, Vermont, Ontario and Quebec.
