CANTON -- Beef producers are invited to the Extension Learning Farm in Canton Tuesday, Jan. 24 to talk about working with meat processors.

The meeting is free and will start at 7 p.m. Bring a snack to share if you can.

Selling beef locally has several benefits including control of the price and focusing on niche markets. But getting your animals processed in a timely manner can be frustrating with scheduling up to a year in advance necessary in some cases.

There will be a discussion and info about what’s happening around the North Country in regards to processors, and you can share your ideas and make connections with other beef producers.

Contact Betsy Hodge at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Office at 379-9192 for more information and directions to the farm.
