OGDENSBURG -- Community Bank N.A. has promoted Ogdensburg native Aaron Friot to vice president, chief technology officer.
In his new role, Friot is responsible for the strategic direction of Community Bank N.A.’s technology and electronic banking. He will also serve as chairman of the bank’s strategic technology committee and sit on the senior management committee.
Friot has been with Community Bank since 2003, starting as a computer specialist in Canton after his graduation from college. Friot has served in a wide variety of positions, including manager of technology support and information security officer. Most recently he has been director of IT since 2011.
“We’re thrilled to reward Aaron for his hard work and commitment to the bank,” Community Bank N.A. President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Tryniski said. “Throughout his tenure, Aaron has been a driving force behind the transformation of our technology infrastructure and our growth. His technical skills, work ethic and capacity to get things done will serve him well in this important role.”
Friot earned his engineering bachelor’s degree from Clarkson University. Originally from Ogdensburg, he lives in Baldwinsville with his wife, Michelle, and their two daughters.
