J.D. Power and Associates has ranked Community Bank, N.A. in the top 10 in the Mid-Atlantic region for customer satisfaction in a recent study, according to Community Bank.

The bank has branches in Canton, Potsdam, Massena, Ogdensburg, Gouverneur, Norwood, Madrid, Hermon, Waddington, Heuvelton, Star Lake, St. Regis Falls, Fort Covington and Harrisville, and many others across the state.

Powers’ retail banking satisfaction study is based on responses from more than 80,000 retail banking customers of more than 130 of the largest banks in the United States. This is the fourth consecutive year Community Bank has been ranked in the regional top 10.

The banks ranked include midsize, regional and national banks, grouped into 11 regions. Rankings are based on consumers’ evaluations of six factors: account information, channel activities, facility, fees, problem resolution and product offerings. Of 1,000 possible points, the average score in 2015 for the Mid-Atlantic region is 787.5. Community Bank scored 801, securing its high ranking within the region, Community Bank said.

According to this year’s study, satisfaction among retail banking customers has improved across the board, with overall satisfaction improving to 790, an increase of 5 points from the previous year’s survey.

Community Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Tryniski attributes the high level of customer satisfaction to employees across the organization. “This recognition belongs to our employees. I am grateful and thankful for the care they take every day in serving our customers and our communities.”

Community Bank, based in DeWitt, has assets of over $7 billion.
