MASSENA -- Massena Village Police Department Chief Tim Currier was presented with the prestigious Gert Jurkovich Commitment to the Community Award at The Greater Massena Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner.
The award goes to an individual, group or business that best exemplifies Gert’s dedication to the community.
Chief Currier is working to bring a Boy’s and Girl’s Club to Massena. As president of the Massena Boy’s and Girl’s Club, the organization has had a great deal of community support with over $60,000 in pledges in a very short time.
The effort continues to bring the club to next phase.
