POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce Town/Gown Committee has chosen two winter Pride in Potsdam Award Nominees, Hazen Enterprises (January) and Misty Hollow (February).
Hazen Enterprises was recognized for how they have maintained their business properties in Potsdam. Maxfield’s was specifically noted for the improvements to its façade and maintaining the sidewalks around their business.
Misty Hollow, 22 Market Street, was nominated in part for the expansion of the store’s interior space and inventory. They were also praised by the committee for the care taken with their window display and sidewalk maintenance.
The Pride-In-Potsdam program is designed to encourage merchants in the village and town to maintain and improve their properties. Each month a business is added to the nominee list, from which a winner will be selected and then announced at the chamber’s annual dinner.
Potsdam Chamber Director Marylee Ballou said, "The program is ongoing and we look forward to nominating a business each month until the next dinner in 2011. Should you feel a business is particularly worthy of recognition please feel free to contact the chamber with the business name.”
