CANTON – “The Case for Fair Trade: Why Buy Fair Trade Products?” will be presented by Maria (Mari) Barboza, NE Program Director for Catholic Relief Services Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 20 and 21 in three presentations.
She will demonstrate the advantages of Fair Trade, its effects on the people and the planet, sharing stories of producers and artisans, describing ways to get involved.
On Oct. 20, she will talk at 7 p.m. at St. Lawrence University’s Carnegie 010. On Oct. 21, she will present at 4 p.m. at SUNY Canton’s Miller Campus Center, Kingston Theater and at 7:30 p.m. at St. Thomas More Newman Center Lounge.
Refreshments will include Fair Trade coffee, tea, cocoa, chocolates.
Admission is free.
