MASSENA – Carriage House Bridal, 8 Main St., is inviting all to its grand opening today at 1 p.m.
Robin Debien, the new owner who bought the shop from Sharon MacCue, said owning a bridal shop has been a ambition of hers for some time. After 25 years working at the hospital, she was ready to retire and take on a new challenge.
“I contemplated doing it about seven years ago, but at the time GM had just left and Reynolds was on the chopping block, so it just wasn’t the right time” Debien said.
“Then last year my daughter-in-law, who was at the bridal show at the arena, said Mrs. MacCue wanted to sell, and everything fell into place.”
To start at least, it will be just Debien and a part-timer working at Carriage House Bridal.
There will be refreshments and door prizes for the ribbon cutting.
The Massena Chamber of Commerce is asking for RSVPs at 769-3525 or info@massenachamnber.com.
