CANTON -- Last year’s Dairy Princess Street Fair was a successful addition to Canton’s Dairy Princess festival, said street fair organizer and Nature’s Storehouse co-owner Rainbow Crabtree, and they hope to improve on that success this year.

“We saw a significant increase in foot traffic along Main Street, and the community enjoyed the extension of the festival from the village green into Canton’s downtown business district,” she said. “Several business owners reported that the street fair was a great success for them, attracting the most traffic and business they have ever experienced on that weekend.”

The Street Fair will extend from the Unitarian Universalist Church to Riverside Drive, on both sides of the street.

Registration is open for the second annual Dairy Princess Street Fair, which is part of the Dairy Princess Festival on Saturday, June 4 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Businesses in downtown Canton are encouraged to participate at no charge. Set up a table, display, activity, or sidewalk sale on the sidewalk right in front of your business.

In order to create a continuous street fair experience, some spaces are being reserved for local artisans, crafters, vendors, and businesses that are not located on downtown Main Street. Registration is required to reserve your spot. The cost is $10.

All tables and tents are the responsibility of the registrant.

This event is coordinated by Crabtree, Sally Hill, director of the Canton Chamber of Commerce, and Leigh Rodriguez, rirector of Economic Development for the village.
